Festive Night Rock Pool!
Joinus for the last Blue Recovery beach event of 2023 and experience the nocturnal rock pool world.
During our night rock pool safaris we bring with us ultra violet torches, not just for fun but to see some of the rock pools glowing inhabitants! Many species of anemone, crustaceans, fish, bivalves and mollusks have a green and sometimes pink glow to them under UV light. Hidden patterns and hard to see features are suddenly clear as day.
Our knowledgeable marine biologists will be on hand to guide you through the identification process and share interesting facts about the various species we encounter. It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the incredible biodiversity found along our coastline.
Remember to wear comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for exploring the rocky shoreline.
