The Rock Pool Project in the area
The Lizard is a truly beautiful part of Cornwall, with some amazing rock pooling sites, in some spectular settings. The Rock Pool Project have run events across the peninsula, including Polurrian Cove, Poldhu Cove and Kennack Sands. The Polurrian Hotel is an amazing place for families and adults to experience Conrwall’s marine environment and we are current available for bespoke rock pool safaris in the area! We are also running public events in Falmouth, a short drive from the hotel.

Activities on the Beach
The beach is an ideal location for nature-watching and has its own easy to reach rock pools and rocky shore, perfect for a novice rock pool adventurer! There are surfing, kayaking and SUP lessons available nearby too available to be booked at the hotel!
Nearby Attractions
Nearby attractions include Flambards Theme Park in Helston, The Chocolate Factory & Craft Centre in Mullion Meadows, skate parks and a kite factory for people who don’t fancy visiting the beach! There is also the beautiful Kynance Cove and Lizard Point Cafe, the most sourthernly cafe on mainland Britain!
There is also there nearby towns of Helston and Falmouth, where you can explore. We offer public events in Falmouth at least once a month but more frequently in the summer months!
