A quiet pebble beach on the scenic Undercliff Walk just east of Brighton. The area is characterised by chalk cliffs and a wave cut platform with rockpools (chalk reef) extending from Brighton Marina to Eastbourne.
The meeting point will be on the beach in front of the cafe and toilet blocks.
The site is accessed by a steep set of stairs - approx 4 flights or 70 steps. The closest access by ramp is Rottingdean, a 20 minute walk away.

If you are parked on Greenways or coming by bus from Brighton cross the road via the pedestrian underpass/tunnel. Walk down the steps (roughly 4 flights, 70 steps) until you reach the bottom. You’ll see the cafe (seasonal) on your right. We’ll be on the beach in front of the cafe.
Access Ovingdean Beach on foot via the Undercliff Walk. Brighton Marina - 1 mile. Brighton City Centre - 3 miles. Rottingdean - 0.8 mile.
Nearest train station: Brighton. You’ll need to get a bus to Ovingdean from the station. Buses: 12/12A/14/27/47. The stop is called ‘Greenways’ Once at Greenways, look for the steps down to the beach.
